US Takes 3rd at Milk Cup

The US U20s beat Belgium 2-0. Break Shea started and played 63 minutes in midfield, while Anthony Wallace started and played the entire game in defense. Josh Lambo DNP.

    I know little about Brek Shea, for instance, he’s listed as a M/F…is he really more a midfielder right now or a forward? Question is, with FCD having the occasional issue at the forward slot next to Kenny Cooper, why hasn’t this kid been given a sniff at least. Why hasn’t FCD pulled their own little Ibbe experiment?

    Brek is very versatile. He can and does play everything from forward to midfield to left back. Schellas sees him as a forward, but the US uses him more as a left midfielder.

    As for why no play with FCD up top, he’s been getting close, but so far Hyndman has shown a massive willingness to play very young player until they force his hand.
