Shea, Wallace, and Lambo Heading to Milk Cup
July 24th, 2008 . 9:17 am . By: Buzz CarrickFC Dallas youngsters Break Shea, Anthony Wallace, and Josh Lambo have all been named to the US U20 team for the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland. The US team will leave on the 24th and have some training before playing Northern Ireland on July 28th and Wales on July 30th. If the US advances the Semi-final and Final will both take place on August 1st. It’s been a long running tradition for the US to play in the Milk Cup with squads of varying ages and talent level. This roster looks quite talented with names like Kyle Davies (Southampton), Vincenzo Bernardo (Napoli), Brandon Manzonelli (New England) and Jorge Flores (Chivas USA) in addition to the three FCD players. One name perhaps less well know to watch is Wake Forest defender Ike Opara who started much of the year as a freshman for the National Champs. In previous year’s the game have been available for viewing on the tournament’s website. 8 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

If Ike goes MLS, where do you see Ike go in the superdraft?
he’s entering his sophomore year so it’s very hard to know.
No Toja this weekend plus these three out? Ugh!
It’s not like Schellas would play these guys anyway. What will really hurt FCD is the fact that Dax is going to Beijing.
Last player to leave Frisco this week, please turn out the lights.
I’m giggling like an idiot at “Milk Cup”.
Agreed w/ Christian completely…would love to start seeing much more of these younger guys, especially as this season seems to be shot.
I think more play time for Lambo is a good thing…
Honestly, I can’t wait till Sala is out of the box.
