Kenny Cooper has been named as the worthy winner of the MLS Player of the Week award for his two goal and assist performance against the LA Galaxy this weekend. Of any game Cooper could have mailed in it would be this one. In the middle of a protracted bidding warn between two European teams and his MLS side who want to keep him, just off the plane the day before from the All-Star cavalcade in Toronto, and yet Cooper put in a 100% effort that resulted in a dominating performance.

Today Hyndman gave up both his 2nd and 3rd round picks in the 2009 draft and a partial allocation to acquire Bruno Guarda. “We’re very excited to have Bruno Guardo at FC Dallas,” said FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman. “What he’ll bring to the team is that he has a great work ethic.” |

Second personal terms offer from Cardiff, Rosenborg still in mix.
According to 3rd Degree league sources, The initial offer for personal terms with Kenny Cooper from Cardiff City has been rejected. MLS has accepted the $4 million US (2 million pounds) offer for Cooper’s services from Cardiff; but the Hunts, owners of FC Dallas, appear to be standing pat for now and have not accepted or rejected the transfer on FC Dallas’ behalf. Our sources say Cardiff has now come back with a second higher personal terms offer to Cooper but would not confirm the amount.
