Ruiz has always been a garbage man.. and he's quickly losing that ability too.

Too many beers, late night parties and too little commitment have finally caught up with him. He could recommit himself to his game, improve his fitness and still achieve something.. but the way he is going, he will be waived in a matter of weeks.

Kenny is much more than a garbage man, plus his ability to finish consistently is getting better and better. I hope that he continues to maintain his dedication and work ethic as this is what has got him to this point.

The interesting thing about this comparison is that if they swapped salaries, it would be pretty fair.

Moose,

As someone who knows both teams fairly well, I'd have to respectfully disagree. Cardiff has about 6-7 Premiership quality players in their starting XI. FCD has maybe 4, including Cooper and Toja. It's not a huge gap, but I've seen both play live, and I'd say that Cardiff is a better side right now.

The team that took the pitch yesterday could beat Cardiff City all day long.

Cooper is much bigger than Dallas and needs to move on the max his potential both on the pitch and financially.

I see it like you do Peter, but the league appears to be stuck with same view... Make a name for yourself in some other country and then we'll treat you with respect.

This kid should be the MLS posterboy... highlighting what we ultimately are looking for in building a league made principally from American born and bread talent.

I've watched this kid since he was with the Clearwater Charges and his work rate has never changed. The parents have supported him from the start and gone through the American system... even with all its' problems and politics.

The problem runs from our inability to see the diamond right under our own nose. This is not one isolated incident either. It is happening all over the league...look at the overpaid foreign players stiill on FCD's roster, taking spots of American players that could put on a good show... especially when coached with some patience and insight.

Rarely do we see a game in MLS that has a style to it... it is just a mixture of foreign has beens with some hard working kids. The symmetry is just not there... and we keep searching for some big name player to solve this problem.

Look at Beckham last night... he is in just coasting with a nice touch here and there... a nice ball here and there... he is making a mockery out of our decision makers and they think he puts people in seats... he will in the short term, but in the long term we need a style that people can identify with in America and see the game as it should be... beautifully played with skill and guts.

I saw Kenny's Senior's face in the camera last night... they were tears of sadness saying why can't we get it right... why do I have to send my son over there when he could be valued here and participate with a balanced team effort right here under our own nose.

When will we understand how blind we are in the US? I have been involved with American Soccer for over 20 years and I honestly believe we are no better off at the top of the pyramid in 20 years and we are moving towards the mistakes of the pass with the old professional league.
