When the press asked Ortega about it: He knew nothing: – “I’m staying here”.

The River Plate officials give their blessing by stating: – “Ortega stays with River”.

River’s coach Simeone extolling the virtues of Ortega while asking for more players.

Several articles talk about Ellinger’s meeting with River Plate officials on Monday, so we should get the word later tonight or tomorrow.

    Either Schellas spoke publicly too soon, or River is playing coy, trying to drive up the price.

    The comments section on the article I read doesn’t make us sound very good, either. (Chamo, I don’t really speak Spanish – In the last article, did one of them say, “Those Yankees don’t even know who he is”?)

    I don’t blame them – if this guy is as popular as he sounds I wouldn’t want to lose him.

    Moose, it’s just a fan asking his FO to not let their player go to some unknown “yankee” club.
