Goodness gracious, son. What in the hell do you expect for a league that is less than two decades old and still doesn’t have the full attention of even fans of its sport behind it?

MLS is only as good as the AVERAGE American player is. As such, it will continue to get better but will not be “anything but a feeder league” for some time.

Question – would you rather be the J-League? Where you don’t even have that “feeder league” benefit of people looking to make it in Europe through your league?

“FC Dallas midfielder Juan Toja confirmed on Thursday that European club Steaua Bucharest is interested in bringing him to the Romanian soccer league.

The Colombian international, who was added to the MLS All-Star team Thursday, said he learned on Wednesday that the clubs are negotiating. He would be cleared to transfer as soon as a deal is reached.

“Yes, there has been contact with an offer to FC Dallas”, said Toja. “I’m very interested because I can play the UEFA Cup and Champions (League), it’s an offer I have to examine.”’

Personally, I still think there’s more to this story than meets the eye. Of course that’s the cynic in me talking, I suppose. I guess I’ve gotten used to hearing front office mumbo jumbo one day only to watch the player in question leave the next day. I guess time will tell, but I’m expecting the worst and hoping for the best at this point.
