Look up FIFA article 17 for Status and Transfers of players.

Then Google “Webster Rule”. which shows players now being able to leave their clubs after 3 seasons, even with longer contracts.

From these, you should be able to deduct that Cooper can terminate his MLS contract after this season(his third) in exchange for paying MLS an amount equal to the last two years of salary.(slightly over $200.000)

So if that’s the case, maybe taking the offer from Rosenborg now would make sense….? FC Dallas can get a couple of good players for that money.

Yes 6 Mil would be a good price, but how many “good” players would that really get us when we are dealing with a salary cap. What infrastructure do we need? We have a big brand new EMPTY stadium! This joke is 12th out of 14 teams. I am still waiting for the “good “players that we were supposed to get from selling Ruiz and Gbandi this summer.

Start getting ready to lose Cooper, because someone will probably name MLS’s price. I was thinking they should put a 6 million dollar tag on him, so hopefully the bidding goes that high.

As much as I don’t want him to leave, FCD could get a few good players plus build some nice infrastructure with that cash.

I’d be happy for Kenny to see him move onwards and upwards.. but we have absolutely no depth up front right now… we simply have to acquire some good talent before giving up KC jr.. or we’re totally shafted.
