There are three games to tell you about.
When I started out this morning it was about 86 downtown, but by the time I got to Frisco driving through the font the temp had dropped to 79. What a beautiful day for training, by the end of the session it wasn’t even 90 yet. Each regime changes the way things work at training. Dir and Jeffries would let the media (read me and T-Lo) stand anywhere we liked. We would follow the team around the training ground and stand right next to drills to watch.
To quote the Clash: - “If I stay, it will be double’
Having sat there as shocked as any of us at FCD’s performance this past Sunday, I got to thinking about what exactly we had just witnessed. Without question this was FCD’s most complete 90 minute game in a very long time, so why did this happen and why did it happen now?
According to a 3rd Degree source, Clark and Dan Hunt have rejected the transfer offers from Rosenborg and Cardiff City for FC Dallas’ star striker Kenny Cooper Jr. Rosenborg had the lesser of the two offers, reported to be in the $3 million US range, with Cardiff coming in at $4 million US. Cooper had asked for permission from FCD to travel to both clubs to give them a look over, but he has been denied permission to visit both clubs by the Hunts. Edit: FCD statement.
It is certainly funny how a victory can scrub the brain of dirt and crust that builds while your team is losing or looking like crap.
A very busy day
It probably snuck up on some people…
I’m tired of talking about players leaving, so let’s talk about how good Avila looked in the FCD starting lineup. Not a world beater, but a strong enough performance. Certainly there were some flashes of something special. Beckham was licking his cops at the young mids’s play.
