Sala Out

June 1st, 2008 . By: Buzz Carrick

FC Dallas has listed Dario Sala as “out” with his hip injury for today’s game. Sala was set to test the hip on Saturday in training and obviously hasn’t passed the fitness test.

It’s fairly certain Ray Burse will fly into Colorado from Montréal where on Friday he and the Timbers shut out Burn alumnus Matt Jordan and the Montréal Impact 1-0 on the strength of Burse’s 7 saves.

Is there a chance perhaps we might see the debut of Josh Lambo? Ok, I don’t think so either.

Edit: It’s Burse.

Sala sure seems to get injured a lot for a keeper.

I have to imagine Sala’s injury wouldn’t have been an issue if the team didn’t have to play 3 games in 8 days.

Sala may seem to get hurt more often becuase he is being left out in the cold by his defense more often and tries to do the magical saves to keep the ball out of the net. ;-)

As most people know well, Dario has in the past not kept himself in the best of shape 24/7. Over the past year or so he has made a bigger effort though to maintain himself. HIs body just has to catch up is all. He made one hell of a save on the play that he got hurt though.

    not really sala related, but…

    1. how much do you think arturo is worth around the league?

    2. since one of our problems seem to be not having a target striker…what happened to that big 6-6 german fwd we got w/ our supplemental pick?

methinks that a supplemental pick wont make too much difference no matter how big and how German he is.
