FC Dallas goalkeeper, on loan to the Portland Timbers of the USL, has been named to the USL-1 team of the week. Of note were the six save made against Portland’s rival Seattle.

When the season started, the Power Rankings staff had the Dynamo and Chivas in the top two spots. I’m not going to say that the mighty have fallen, but I can’t deny that the mighty-appearing have nosedived straight to the bottom. Nosedove, nosediven? Whatev, Houston sucks and I’ve got the numbers to prove it.

I’ve had mixed feeling about this season for a while now. Some things about this team I like and some I do not. Some of the winter moves I liked and some I did not. I was certainly on board with dumping Carlos for a bag of cash and a pick, and that fact that only LA seemed to have any interest ought to tell us something. But on the other hand I have also felt all along that FCD overpaid for a elder defender in the form of Duilio Davino.

FCD showed some nice things in the Revs game, including solid defense, some great possession, and fairly clean ball movement. But in the end it’s about wins, and FCD dropped the ball in that sense.
