Jimmy Buffett Back at PHP

February 23rd, 2008 . 10:41 am . By: Buzz Carrick

It has nothing to do with soccer, but I’m still excited.  What can I say, I like Jimmy Buffett.  Plus it ads ancillary income into the FCD coffers, which is always nice.

JIMMY BUFFETT COMING BACK TO PIZZA HUT PARK

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band are back in town for one remarkable performance at Pizza Hut Park on Saturday, April 26. The Year Of Still Here tour promises to offer the festive sights and sounds that fans can only experience at a Jimmy Buffett concert.

On April 28, 2007, a crowd of 26,883 fans enjoyed the first Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band performance at Pizza Hut Park. The concert crowd that evening was the third largest in the park’s three-year history.

FC Dallas Season Ticket holders will have a chance to order tickets to the April 26 concert during a special pre-sale on Wednesday, February 27 at 10 a.m. Please contact the FCD front office for more information (888.FCD.GOAL).

Tickets for the general public will go on sale on Monday, March 3 at 10 a.m. and can only be purchased through Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 972-647-5700 or 214-373-8000. Tickets are not available through the Pizza Hut Park box office.

The gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Please check www.pizzahutpark.com for more information regarding parking costs, hours, and tailgating policies for this event.

It would be nice to see a full house at PHP even if it’s not for soccer.

Last years Buffett concert was the most people I’ve ever seen in PHP. The next afternoon was a Revs game in front of about 1000 people. I’d have sworn I was the only one at both events, but I guess Buzz might have been, too.

No, Chris you weren’t. I knew of quite a few that were at both. Sounds like you had fun though.

Where did this info come frm? Was it sent out to the FCD STH’s via email? I guess FCD has this STHs’ email address wrong then.

BTW, Buffets beer “LandShark Lager” just went on sale in Dallas too. I have heard it is fairly good.

Jimmy Buffet with Coral Reefer Band’s performance is always remarkable. No one could deny how Jimmy buffet’s songs, such as Margaritaville, has always attracted people. Jimmy has gained a great number of fans during his music career and I’m no exception. I do love his style so much and I always do the possible to attend his concerts if I see that the ticket price is affordable because in such concerts such as Jimmy’s ticket brokers sky high prices. I have been recommended a site to compare ticket prices for free and it’s really an interesting idea because this way I’ll always look for the cheapest price offered. Here it is:

We always want to watch our favourite artists but with some reasonable prices.

[...] Cause Edgefest is coming back to Pizza Hut Park.  While I applaud the external revenue for FC Dallas, this is a concert that wasn’t to kind to the grass last time.  Here’s hoping the get the plastic covers up faster this time.  I’m particularly worried about the grass because Jimmy Buffet is the previous day.
