What does this mean – “Manouchehri would be an exciting signing. His run with Coquimbo a couple of seasons ago was the stuff they write sports movies about.”? What “run”?
Gbandi signed in Norway.
Dan, Coquimbo Unido is a “small” club in Chile. Always towing the promotion/relegation line. In 2005, the little club came out of nowhere and made it all the way to the finals of “top” division. The guy that put them in the finals was a young 17 yr old defender called Manouchehri with a goal that you will find on You Tube if you look for it. They lost the finals to Union Espanola, but it still was one memorable “run” for the club.
That one guy in the video looked like Zak Whitbread.
Thanks Chamo.
Moor will have to wait now at the bottomn of the depth chart for another chance. He was terrible consistently throughout the match, looked out of his depth. Four caps is a good career.
