FCD News Recap

January 30th, 2008 . 9:34 am . By: Chamo Jones

Yesterday, there were no FCD related stories at the time I usually update the blog. Today, just there are just a couple of stories. Hopefully, this means that the braintrust is working hard behind the scenes completing some player deals. Time is running out on the transfer window, the various leagues around the continent have resumed activity or are about to resume activities.

If this drags on much longer, the impact player on offense that was supposed to fill the void created by the Ruiz trade will have to wait until this summer to materialize. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Denilson left a bad taste in everybody’s mouth last season. However, keep in mind that the greatest forward FC Dallas Burn has ever had also was a midseason acquisition back in 99. And that time it worked out beautifully. Graziani was the final piece of the puzzle of the only team in the history of the franchise to make a legitimate run at the MLS Cup.

Here is a story on a guy that has the potential to become the best FC Dallas Burn forward ever. You know him. You love him. The two and only, Kenny Cooper.

Good for Nunez, he’s a great player who will finally be in the right environment to max on his ability. He’s finally away for the British route one stuff in FCD and moving on to the Samba style of Briazil/South America. We will see him again with the full Honduran NT.
