Reyering will likely turn out to be a Abe Thompson-type sleeper, a guy who should have gone in the first 2 rounds but due to injuries slipped. He will compete for time with Abe for the target role. Yes KC will play under or wide since he really is not a target type of forward.

Its hard to believe that a player of Shuleva's very limited athletic ability can actually be drafted to play in the MLS. It shows you how watered down and lacking talent and the ability to judge true ability is in the MLS.

Reyering will count as a international unless he has some kind of green card that I don't know about.

I think it's safe to say he slid down for that reason and the injury. He was also a junior and ran out of eligibility so that may have thrown him off some teams radars.

IR would put both players out for the year. It's more likely FCD would not sign each and give them some kind of rehab situation and let them compete when healthy. Some kind of training fee and the FCD resources to get healthy I would imagine.

I like this Reyering pick, a guy with a HUGE upside!

Im not real familiar with how the MLS draft works, but my guess is that these supplemental picks carry less risk and allow teams to take risks.
My guess is Reyering wont get see time on the field in any fashion till this summer, and isnt looked at as a real option till '09. Just seeing a description of him makes me drool.

from your scouting, he was the #4 fwd and was the best target fwd. 6-6, goal scorer, smart, skilled...what made him be undrafted? was it due to his injury and international status?

also, is there an IR spot where he won't count at all? maybe we can tuck him away if his knee problems persist. same goes w/ shuleva.

Would Reyering have to count as an international this year, or would they be able to put him directly on IR?
