Alvarez Shines vs Chivas (Jason Gulledge, 3rd Degree)

FC Dallas has announced on their blog that Arturo Alvarez has re-signed with Major League Soccer.  As FCD head coach Steve Morrow indicted last week on 3rd Degree, Alvarez was lose to a return but for a few small details.  Those details have obviously been cleared up and Alvarez has agree to stay with FCD.

Alvarez had a break through year for FCD this season and looks to be a major part of Morrow’s plans going forward.  He’s also looks to have become a key piece of Peter Nowak’s US Olympic Team and might soon make his debut for the senior US squad.

Alvarez had a trial with Bordeaux this winter and had attracted interest from two Mexican sides, Tigres and Morelia, with his play in last year’s SuperLiga.

No contract details are available at this time, but we will update you if and when we learn some of the more important numbers.

Here is an Alvarez higlights video.
