Adidas just signed up last year. Diadora was the sponsor for a very long time before that and Fila back before that.

I think this looks like a good lineup. Hope I can make it out for a game or two this year.

I think it’s clear the Dallas Cup has become the adidas alternative in many ways to the Nike Friendlies.

The past few Dallas Cups have had a very heavy Adidas influence since they sponsorship has taken effect. Thats why Real Madrid, Liverpool (moreso than Hicks connections), et al.

Andromeda has earned their way into the Super Group by beating Texans & Solar in Boys Classic League, Premier League, and winning the National Championship last year. Its a strange name to see in this group, but they’ve earned it fair and square. I watched the game v. Solar in November that determined who would get the invite. I seem to remember a River Plate team getting consideration a few years back but lost the crucial deciding game in league play so they made the semis of the U19 group.

I think it means they are U19 premier league champs.

As for the Jr thing I cut and paosted that out of the Dallas Cup team blurbs. I’ll cahnge it.

Do you mean this team won their reserves or u19 version of the premier league? Thats impressive for a club like leicester city.

(Also, Tom Hicks Jr is the son of the owner, not the owner.)

I doubt Freddy would be here. I think he’s just to old and was signed as a first team player. He’s not really part of their youth team. Unlike Rossi who was a youth player who had just gotten a couple calls ups. IMO

Yes the U17 and U18s have both played here, but not since Nike invented the Nike Friendlies. Nike being invested in the US set up and all.
