Skeeter, Goodson does a lot of talking yes, but it’s not of a organizational and leadership type nature.

tex, it’s certainly true I don’t know everything about the team, and I freely admit there is much I don’ know being on the outside. But I think I have a good handle on Goodson, and I certainly know what Morrow thinks of him.

TT, Saragosa is close to his green card. But yes, there is too much at holding mid. Which I mentioned by way of saying that would be a position that would likely be sacrificed in trade/signing.

Jim, AA’s got too much talent to be converted at this point in his career.

FC Up, only Goodson could talk to a team. Anyone else would need permission to talk to someone officially, like Gbandi was given last year. I would think he will be given the same chance this year. I’m coming up blank on anyone looking to leave other than this AA rumor.

Charles, I would agree that Moor would make a great captain. but not that they (we?) are all idiot.

I’m not saying that Buzz is wrong about Goodson. He certainly has a much closer view of things then I do. I have never made it out to training and certainly don’t have the connections to the players and coaches that Buzz has. I’m just saying that from my seat in the stands, Goodson looks like a guy that can lead and organize a back-line. In fact, he would be my second choice for captain, after Pablo.

While getting a top notch forward is possibly the most important improvement a counter argument is instead a top notch attacking mid. If FCD had pursued and acquired Blanco the resultant attention on him and passes to forwards in scoring positions probably would have resulted in many more goals. FCD’s style of bypassing the midfield to a center forward who had to hold off two or three defenders would be hard for even the great players of the world.
