N-E ways… Looks like Frank’s butt buddy Clark “hopes to file an official appeal to his suspension early this week.” They should just extend his suspension just to shut him up.

Hey, I’m just being realistic. I like Ruiz as a player and am glad we have him on the team. I think FCSa problem is the style they play doesnt fit Ruiz’s best style. he is a poacher that relies on service and capitalizes on mistakes. he was best when domeone else opened space for him. FCD doesnt have that now.

oh yeah, FRANK, Dema Kovalenko is the dirtiest player in the league. even his own teammates dont like him. he should be the most hated too, but that might be by the players. he’s broken too many legs to not be.

Listen guys, i’m not a dynamo fan don’t even live in texas. I have been following mls from the start. I’m simply pointing out the obvious. There’s a reason most fans around the league had a good chuckle at what happened to ruiz. Again what rico did was uncool but c’mon, only twotone see’s the reality of it all ?! There is no other player in the league hated most by the fans or players for a reason………..oh and throw in the refs now. Dallas…….colored………glasses…………..oh maybe slightly. Listen you guys hated him when he was in LA, but the shoe is in the other foot know ,right chamo.

My feelings about Ruiz are mixed (I’ve only had a year’s experience as an FCD/soccer fan). I don’t care for his dives and exaggerations, but . . .I saw more than just “an elbow to Robinson.” I also saw Robinson giving it back equally, it seemed. My impression, as a fan at that game, was that there was as much “dirty” play from the Houston side (from Robinosn, at least), as from Carlos . . .

Compare that with the game against NE. The impression I got was that they both played fair (outside of a bit of pushing, etc). Ruiz was in that game, too. . . .I respect NE. I can’t say that about Houston after this past game (rivarly aside). I almost brought a a friend of my daughter with us to the Sept 30th game — glad I didn’t!

Anyway, my point is that I still didn’t see anthing to warrant Clark’s reaction, regardless of how much “crap” Ruiz was dishing out throughout the game. I’m sure there was plenty coming from the Houston side, as well.

Sorry Frank! You and the rest of the Houston fans are way off base, and all of your arguments are nothing but poor rationalizations for an action that is indefensible.

Every team has players that try to impose their will over their opponent physically, or as you call them “dirty” players when they aren’t wearing the Dynamo Orange. These players get under the skin of their opponents in every single game that they play.

In MLS alone off the top of my head I can name Ruiz, Gutierrez, O’Rourke, A. Moreno, Fred, Garcia, Kovalenko, Franchino, Thomas, Mastroeni, Beckerman, Harmse, and even your precious Robinson. Every team around the world has some players that are more physical than what their opponent what like them to be. And you can bet than more than opponent has felt like retaliating in a similar fashion to the way Clark did, but they did not. The knew where the line was. Clark’s cowardly attack of Ruiz crossed the line. Clark completely blindsided Ruiz when he was in a prone position laying on the ground. Clark’s action was criminal and it makes his motive a moot point.

And concerning my (and other Dallas fan’s) view being tainted by “Dallas” colored glasses, like I mentioned in comment #2. I thought Sala should have received a longer suspension when he crossed the line. Criminal behaviour is criminal behaviour regardless of the color of their jersey.

Good. Was hoping for at least Sala’s six game suspension. Very happy with this.
Might actually give us a small chance to defeat Houston in the playoffs.

Hey hutchtx, basically twotone explained it as good as i would of. The elbow he threw at robinson earlier got him a yellow card. What i’m trying to say is i have yet to hear anything against ruiz from any hoops fans.(except twotone). The guy has been good, but his time is pretty much up. 7 goals for a forward earning the money he is won’t last to long. the league has figured him out and all he is doing to get by is dirty play. His #’s have been dipping every season. Good luck regardless!!!
