Happy Halloween everybody…
I have been searching for the moment to return to the virtual bleachers for FC Dallas. As Dario Sala brought the end of the 2006 season to the head of Hunter Freeman, just a year ago this week, I heaved a sigh of relief that someone on the team “gets it.” The hard cores don’t come to games to be entertained. We pay our hard earned money to bring home victory. We throw our lot in with the team because we want to feel victory.
Once again FCD continues their excellent work of bringing proprietary content to their fans, this time it’s the top defensive plays of 2007.
The team is in a very positive mood today although practice remains intense as it was last week. The coaches continue to push the intensity and aggression. No matter what happens I don’t think FCD will be rolling over.
FCD busy with PR last night…
The FMF and SUM have announced that the 2008 InterLiga tournament will kick off at Pizza Hut Park January 2nd.
So let’s not get all haughty and reprimand ol’ DJ for not being in a glass-half-full kinda mood as he made his way past the innumerable Indian Casinos that dot the landscape between the Land of the Red Dirt and the Great Republic of Tejas, m’kay?
Overcoming all negative expectations FC Dallas did, in fact, nab a goal and kept Houston off the board for a 1-0 win and the lead in this playoff series. It was a surprisingly spirited Hoops side that pressured the Dynamo all over the field and exploited the fact that Houston was missing Ricardo Clark.
Dallas holds serve by the minimum difference.
