I think Gbandi’s move to the doghouse stems from his mental errors – things like clearing the ball right to an opponent at the top of the box.
He plays great for 85 minutes or so, but in that other 5 minutes he costs us a goal or two.

Hopefully he has learned to keep focus for the whole 90 now..

I must have missed it….what did Gbandi do to get in the dog house? I like Wags’ work rate and effort, but he is a bit of a liability at left back….Not that Chris doesn’t get beat at times, but overall, I think he is stronger than Wags.

With so many guys in and out of the line-up with injuries and others in and out of Morrow’s dog house, I’m not sure I know who the best 11 even are any more.

Interesting note from today’s practice (I had to go to Frisco for something, so I took the long way!).

The team was divided into two groups for a scrimmage/ possession/ passing practice. The group w/o the bibs sure looked like what would make a NICE starting lineup. . . This is the group that was practicing together today: Moor, Goodson, Serioux, Gbandi, Ricchetti, Toja, Alvarez, Denilson, Thompson, and Ruiz. I have no idea if these are, in fact, tomorrow’s starters, but they were practicing their passing and possession together.

Uptown, On first look I would agree that the injuries are the primary cause of the downturn or “fade.” The return of Cooper and Toja should give this team a real boost down the stretch. I hope.

Marco, Gbandi lost his job for a downturn in his form over a several week period. He’s responded and is quite focused in training. I don’t think it will be too much longer before he’s back. When Gbandi has his mind right he’s one of the best left backs in MLS. His return to top form (if?) will also benefit the team for the playoff run.

Buzz… We ever gonna see Gbandi again? What the hell happened there? From my eyes, despite whatever Gbandi did to lose that spot, I haven’t seen anything from Wags that shows he’s definitively grabbed hold of the opportunity and been that much better than Gbandi was. What am I missing? And it’s been relatively quiet on this, too – so does that mean Gbandi’s handling it better than he has in the past, or is he letting it affect his work in practice, etc?

I like Morrow saying he wants a more settled lineup here on out. I wish Gbandi was a part of it than Wags as even his usually solid crossing has left him for the moment.

Buzz, I guess the elephant in the room is if this is a typical FCD “fade”? The “experts” on the soccernet.com power rankings are incredibly pessimistic on our DP signing. Online chatter also seems a bit bitchy. Getting healthy seems to be key. Looking forward to Thursday.
