Denilson? Not Yet…
August 17th, 2007 . 3:23 pm . By: Buzz CarrickAccording to 3rd Degree sources, contrary to various online reports, a deal to sign Denilson is not done. FC Dallas remains interested in the player, but there has been no movement this week. Discussions are ongoing and the obstacle, as always, remains contract terms. 3rd Degree will monitor the situation as a breakthrough could occur in the next several days. Sources say there is renewed life to the talks after all looked dead. Wednesday’s MLS transfer window deadline would not apply to Denilson due to the fact he is out of contract. FCD roster activity today, Friday, likely involves moving current players and not a new signing. 10 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

Um, OK. What roster activity?
From the FCD blog…

FC Dallas has signed Colombian/American midfielder Sebastian Botero
Fcuk Dneilson.
Denilson.
that would be cool if it happens but the team is in a good place/pace right now, i’m content with the team. despite all the injuries.
I’ll take another Columbian any day, especially if Oscar approved.
Botero is actually American since he was born in Iowa
Yes he was born in Iowa, and that makes him American citizen, but he is Colombian..Colombian parents and lived there most of his life. What does that make him?? Sounds Colombian to me..
but a key point is that he won’t take a YI or SI spot since he was born in Cyclone country
I could see Denilson going to Mexico for big $ and avoiding the physical play in MLS. I really believe that he could be the missing piece for this team to win it all, the #10 that this team and MLS general lacks. Is he the same Denilson he was at 24? That’s the big question. The other thing he would help with would be the respect factor from the game officials and MLS, we would no longer be treated as a step child franchise.
