FCD News Recap

August 7th, 2007 . 6:52 am . By: Chamo Jones

FCD will try to advance past the Charleston Battery tonight in US Open Cup action. Last year Kenny Cooper Jr. played the best match of his red stripe career against the Battery by completing his hat trick in the 120th minute to force a PK shootout which Dallas won. If you ever wondered what happened to Lazo Alavanja, you will know tonight.

It will be interesting to see if Morrow will play all of the usual starters which have been showing some signs of fatigue lately, or if he will opt for the younger lineup that held up quite well in the recent two game competition with Tigres.

Davis is slipping a little on his facts. FCD plays Columbus this week end. And the PHP field looked good for the LA game and great for the COL game.

Where does he mention Dallas playing somebody else this weekend? Looks quite clear that he talked mostly about last weekends games.

“but to play Ricchetti and Toja might risk longer-term fatigue and damage the team’s chances in this weekend’s Lone Star derby against Houston.”
