Match Photos: Chivas USA vs FC Dallas
July 4th, 2007 . 11:06 pm . By: Jason GulledgeI tried to include more photos of action going on in the stands. You’ll see some photos of the Inferno in this set. I hope you enjoy the action. This is the biggest set of photos I’ve published for a game yet. Enjoy. 8 Comments Comments RSS TrackBack Identifier URI Leave a comment |

Jason,
Great photos! You have some excellent shots and some great action photos — love it! Thanks for sharing!
Several questions: how are you able to have such good access? Are you with the professional photographers?
Also, who was the little girl (in the team photo) with Pablo Ricchetti? Was that his daughter? Just wondering.
Thanks!
Great photo’s but our two best players aren’t in them, Toja & Goodson.
to hutchtx: Yeah, I’m with the professional photograhpers. I’m not sure who the girl was, but Ricchetti certainly made sure she was in the shot.
to hank: Sorry I didn’t include photos of Toja and Goodson. the photos i had of them were from so far away from my vantage, they weren’t really anything interesting in them you could discern from the photos. I’ll doublecheck though.
Beautiful pictures! Thanks.
Thanks, Jason!
And thanks again for sharing. One final question (sorry to be so inquisitive today; I am a relatively new fan — this is our first year as season ticket holders, and I’m still trying to learn everything their is to know about FCD!). . .
What does it require to get a “professional photographer’s” pass/be a “professional photographer” under the FCD/MLS rules? Just curious, because I’ve brought my digital Pentax to a couple of games (and it gets questioned every time about being a “professional camera,” but the lens is less than 12″, as per the stadium rules). I love doing photography and love trying to take action shots of the players.
So, just curious! I can’t find any info about it on the MLS website.
Hutchtx, in order to get a credential to shoot photos on the side lines you have to be approved by the FCD PR department. That almost always requires being backed up by a media outlet of some kind. In Jason’s case he is 3rd Degree official game photographer and we arranged a media credential for him as we do for several other people on our staff. He has also been credentialed for the US Women’s game here at PHP as well as the other various events we cover.
That’s what I figured. I just couldn’t find that info on any other web source. Thanks for the info and thanks for the hard work you all do on this website. It is incredibly informative!
Excellent, especially the shots of Oduro and the Inferno.
Also glad you didn’t show Carlos’ shot straight over the post from a sitter 5 feet in front of the goal.
Pizza Hut Park is truly beautiful!
