DFW Tornados

June 13th, 2007 . 9:19 am . By: Buzz Carrick

I was taking a look at remaining PDL schedule for the DFW Tornados, you local PDL team, and they have five remaining home games.  I mention it because there are a couple nice players in that team, particularly from SMU, that are well worth watching.  Most notably Bruno Guarda the sensational midfielder who is a future MLS player and would have been a Generation adidas player long ago except he’s not an American.  Paulo de Silva and Ryan Mirsky are two other excellent players you might see on the field for DFW.

So support your local soccer and go see DFW play in their last 5 home games this year at Pennington Field in HEB.

Friday, June 15 vs. Baton Rouge 7:30
Sunday June 17 vs. New Orleans Shell Shockers 5:00
Saturday, June 23 vs. Mississippi Brilla FC 7:30
Saturday, June 30 vs. El Paso Patriots 7:30
Saturday, July 7th vs. Laredo Heat 7:30

Thanks for posting this Buzz. I made it out to one of their games last year. Decent quality.

The DFW tornados need all the fan support they can get. It is only $5 and the concessions are cheap. Pretty good entertaiment value!

SMU keeper Steve Sandbo just made the U20 team and leaves Saturday, so Friday night might be your last chance to see him in action for DFW.
