Ramon vs Revs (Jason Gulledge, 3rd Degree)
A tired FCD team took on the Revolution at PHP on Sunday. Here are some excellent photos by 3rd Degree photographer Jason Gulledge.

Before the game at Pizza Hut Park had even settled into a rhythm, the Revolution’s Taylor Twellman found the back of the net with a superb first-time strike of a ball from Steve Ralston. Although Dallas had the bulk of the possession throughout the game and created several chances, they were never able to find the goal and New England went home with all three points. There were bright spots for the Hoops such as the chances created by Dominic Oduro, but two goalless home games in a row could be pointing to problems up front.

Monday Morning Quarterback: NY Red Bulls vs. FC Dallas

Juan Carlos Toja (Jason Gulledge, 3rd Degree)
Toja has arguably been FCD’s best player to this point in the season. His possession game is top notch and he plays nifty defense with those pokes and takeaways. You can see he’s got such a refined sense of the game for a 21 year old. Compare the subtleties of his game to Núñez’s rawness for example.

Matchday 6: NE Revolution at FC Dallas

In 2006, New England made it all the way to the MLS Cup Finals due in large part to the best defense in the league. The Revs allowed just over a goal a game, but their weakness – scoring goals – reared its head in the Final, and the Revolution went home after losing on penalties to the Dynamo.

FCD vs NYRB (Jason Gulledge, 3rd Degree)
A clear let down on Thursday from Sunday’s quality performance. The Hoops came out lacking energy. At this point Bruce Arena’s squad is just a better side. Bruce’s Red Bull isn’t one of those small cans, it is a fat 40 ounce’r and after Thursday night surely Steve Morrow is saying, “We’ll have whatever they are drinking”.
