The NCAA has officially announced the 2008 and 2009 sites for the Division I College Cup. As 3rd Degree had previously reported, Pizza Hut Park, in conjunction with Southern Methodist, will host the 2008 Men’s final. Now it’s been announced that in addition to the 2007 event, Texas A&M will also host the 2009 women’s College Cup. The 2008 Women’s Cup and 2009 Men’s Cup will be played in Cary, NC.

So that’s about it. The USL/MLS challenge hosted by the Puerto Rico Islanders has come to an end with LA sweeping their two games and FCD going one and one. Primarily a reserve unit played in the first game against the Islanders and the senior squad took care of Rochester in the second match. At this point the preseason is effectively over with only the game against Atletico Paranaense remaining, which is not really a friendly as it’s the second leg of the USA-Brazil Challenge.
